A 6-day luxury camping safari exploring Namibia on mountain bikes.

A luxury camping safari with a difference - travel between camps on mountain bikes! This is truly the way to experience Namibia's solitude and silence, as well as its adventurous spirit.

At the end of an exciting day in the saddle, you are provided with serviced, spacious tents, designed to provide comfort in remote wilderness areas.

This exploration also makes a direct contribution to the Save the Rhino Trust.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Days 1-2: Visit the Save the Rhino Camp

After arrival in Windhoek, you are met by your guides who will accompany you on the drive to the stunning monolith of Brandberg, on the banks of the Ugab River. You enjoy a warm-up ride of 40km to the Save the Rhino campsite, a pre-erected campsite under the shade of immense Acacia trees.

On Day 2 you ride to the old zinc mine, tackling steep climbs, thrilling downhills and the exhilarating challenges the route presents. Your afternoon is spent relaxing at the camp and exploring the Ugab riverbed.

Day 3: Cycle to Damaraland

Today you embark on the longest stage - a route of 90km through changing habitats to Damaraland Camp. This also creates a wonderful opportunity to come across elephant and rhino along the way, as well as view oryx, springbuck and giraffe.

Accommodation included in tour cost:
Damaraland Camp

Day 4: Head for the Palmwag Campsite

Damaraland has a desolate, volcanic landscape with small rock-strewn plains where glaciers once moved.

Your 80km ride traverses this incredible panorama that is also the heart of black rhino country - a challenging but highly rewarding ride.

Day 5: Track Rhino on Foot in Damaraland
After a short exciting ride of 40km through rhino country, you then enjoy an afternoon tracking rhino on foot with the specialist Save the Rhino trackers. End your day with sunset drinks, taking in the isolated beauty of Damaraland.
Day 6: Transfer to Windhoek
Transfer by road to Windhoek where your Namibia holiday adventure ends.
