DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Leaving on the Blue Train
On arrival at Cape Town Station, you will enjoy pre-departure snacks and drinks, after which you will be ushered to your suite by a butler. Shortly after departure, enjoy a delightful brunch.

The train will arrive in Matjiesfontein in the mid-afternoon, and it is here that you can experience this page out of Victorian history. Upon returning to the train, high tea is served in the Lounge Car, after which you will have the afternoon at leisure.

Pre-dinner drinks can be enjoyed in any of the lounges. Dinner is an elegant affair. Men are requested to wear a jacket and tie, while ladies are to be in elegant evening wear. Dinner on The Blue Train is served in two sittings.

Day 2: Roll in to Pretoria
Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, served on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively, you can arrange to dine in your suite. The train rolls into Pretoria Station in the early afternoon, whereupon you will be ushered to The Blue Train Lounge.

Go2Africa can arrange a private transfer from the station to your next destination. We recommend you combine this journey with a few days in Johannesburg visiting Soweto, the Apartheid Museum and some of our world class shopping centres, or enjoy a luxury safari in the Kruger National Park.
