DETAILED ITINERARY

Days 1-4: Start Your City and Beach Experience

Arrive at Cape Town International Airport and collect your rental vehicle. Go2Africa can also arrange for you to be transferred to the Mount Nelson, and have your vehicle delivered to you there.

The Mount Nelson is ideally located to give the best access to the historical side of Cape Town. Stroll down 'museum mile' where you'll discover some of South Africa's finest museums, art galleries and historical monuments.

Go on a half-day geographical and cultural tour of Cape Town and Table Mountain. You are guided through sites illustrating Cape Town's humble beginnings, and the more modern sites like the V&A Waterfront.

Highlights of the tour are Table Mountain, the Houses of Parliament and City Hall, and Greenmarket Square.

Accommodation included in tour cost:
Mount Nelson Hotel

Days 5-6: Explore the Cape Winelands

Today you'll leave Cape Town behind and drive to the pretty town of Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands. Make your way to Le Quartier Francais, a charming boutique hotel centrally located on the main high street, close to shops and cafes.

Franschhoek is known for its gourmet restaurants and wine cellars - making your stay here perfect for a wine-tasting excursion.

Spend time relaxing in the beautiful gardens, by the swimming pool or in The Treatment Room, which specialises in aroma-skincare treatments, or simply wander around the town and explore the French-Hugenot buildings and oak-lined streets.

Le Quartier Francais

Days 7-10: Discover Beaches at Plettenberg Bay

Drive along the Garden Route to Plettenberg Bay, where you will find some of the best beaches South Africa has to offer.

Central Beach is the most popular and boasts many lifeguards during peak season. It also offers many activities, like marine safaris, dive charters and ocean kayaking tours. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Go to Robberg Beach for long walks on the sand, or Keurbooms Beach for a wilder, yet equally beautiful, experience.

During your stay in Plettenberg Bay, go on the Marine Encounters Tour and venture out into the bay to see a wealth of marine wildlife up close.

You have the chance to see dolphins and whales which frequent the bay from June to November. Also keep an eye out for the colony of Cape fur seals and a variety of pelagic seabirds.

The Plettenberg

Days 11-12: Search for Game in Pumba

Today you'll depart the sunny beaches of Plettenberg Bay and make your way into the malaria-free Eastern Cape where you'll arrive at Pumba Msenge Bush Lodge - a wonderful safari lodge lcocated in Pumba Private Game Reserve on the border of Addo Elephant National Park.

Explore this richly diverse reserve on a number of game activities, enjoy a cocktail at the Bush Bar and enjoy the views of the surrounding bush, or simply lounge on the pool deck.

Day 13: Relax at Shamwari Townhouse

As your exlusive holiday comes to an end, you'll travel to Port Elizabeth and arrive at the Shamwari Townhouse - a luxurious establisment located in the upmarket suburb of Summerstrand, just 100m from the warm Indian Ocean.
