Explore the city of Cape Town while staying at elegant Ellerman House, located in beautiful Bantry Bay. Then board your luxury Rovos Rail Pride of Africa train and make your way through Africa to Dar es Salaam.

Day 1: Arrive in the Mother City
Your journey kicks off in the Mother City, Cape Town.
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be chauffeured to your hotel, Ellerman House, which is located in Bantry Bay. After settling in, your exploration of this dynamic city can begin.

Days 2-3: Explore and Discover the Mother City
Cape Town is a diverse and interesting city. At once, both historic and cosmopolitan.
Your days can be spent in a variety of different ways. Catch some sun on the world-class beaches, enjoy a hike up Table Mountain, take a cultural township tour, or drive out to the Winelands and sample the delectable wines.
If you're up for a bit of shopping, there's no better place than the V&A Waterfront, with its collection of high-end stores. A visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium is always recommended, as is a trip out to Robben Island.

Day 4: Board Your Luxury Rovos Train
A transfer will take you to the Cape Town Station where you will board the Rovos Rail Pride of Africa - an incredible luxury train that is known as a hotel on wheels.
Days 5-13: Watch the Landscapes Roll By
The Rovos Rail Epic Africa Train Journey winds through some of the most breathtaking vistas in Africa, stopping along the way so you can do some exploring and sightseeing on scheduled tours and excursions.
The train passes through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and on through Tanzania to its final destination - Dar es Salaam.
Day 14: Disembark the Train and Fly to Zanzibar
After disembarking the train, you are flown to Zanzibar, and transferred to your hotel.
Enjoy the refreshing change of scenery, from the wild and untamed to a tropical beach paradise.

Day 15-18: Experience Beach Bliss in Zanzibar
Make the most of the turquoise waters and powdery beaches in this tropical island destination.
After a long journey, pamper yourself at the spa or take in the beauty of this island from the jetty with a cocktail in hand.
An assortment of water-based activities are on offer, including scuba-diving and dhow (traditional boat) cruises.

Day 18: Set Off For Dar es Salaam
A transfer awaits to take you to the airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam.
