The city streets of Cape Town are full of culture and colour

For a relatively small city, tucked under a mountain, Cape Town has a great deal to see and discover.

The Castle, built by the earliest colonialists, still stands in the centre of modern Cape Town, as does the original Dutch East India vegetable garden. Now known as the Company Gardens, this is a peaceful area perfect for strolls with the squirrels and home to the National Museum and National Gallery.

Apartheid's legacy can't be ignored when exploring the city, visit the District Six museum where you learn how apartheid�s laws affected everyday lives, and Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent many years.

A drive around the Cape Peninsula will reveal beautiful vistas of the blue Atlantic, craggy fynbos-covered (Cape's unique, shrubby vegetation) mountains, and quaint cape fishing villages.
