This Cape Town map shows the greater Cape Town area, which spreads out from Table Bay, south over the whole Cape Peninsula and east along False Bay. You can use this map of Cape Town to find a Cape Town hotel, to plan a Cape Town tour, or get orientated in the city.

As you can see from our Cape Town map, the city centre (also known as the city bowl) is nestled into the curve of Table Bay, with Robben Island just off the shore.

Greater Cape Town is made up of various suburbs as well as several outlying towns. The suburbs that extend south of Table Bay on this map are known as the southern suburbs. The suburbs that stretch out along the N1 are known as the northern suburbs. Towns such as Hout Bay, Camps Bay, Noordhoek and Muizenberg are considered a part of Cape Town but have their own town centres too.

This Cape Town map also shows that much of the Cape Town area is undeveloped and protected by various national parks and reserves, including Table Mountain National Park and Cape Point Nature Reserve.
