Standard Suite
Xigera comprises twelve luxury suites, each individually styled. They are set within indigenous forest, raised on stilts, and gazing over the floodplains and wandering wildlife. In keeping with the living gallery theme of the lodge, each suite has been designed with decadent layering of materials and textures including timber, bronze and hand-crafted wood. Each suite is air-conditioned and offers a daily laundry service. The suites have a separate lounge, bedroom, dressing area, full bathroom, outdoor shower, and private decks with daybeds for couch safaris.
Other Rooms
The Baobab Treehouse is one kilometre from the lodge, with a guide stationed nearby. It was designed and built in the shape of the iconic Baobab Tree. It features breath-taking views from each of its three levels. The bedroom is on the second level with beautiful, handcrafted furniture, and both the bedroom and bathroom spaces have canvas walls. Ascend to the third level and you will find an open-air deck, perfect for reading or soaking in the ambience of the African wild. An open-air king size bed gives the option of a night spent directly under the stars.
General Facilities
Xigera’s main bar area, library and dining areas are a visual feast, where service from staff far surpasses expectations; it’s the place where everyone will know your name. The lounge area features a copper-clad fireplace in the form of a Lily, Xigera’s emblem.
When you aren’t spinning safari tales fireside in the lounge, you can relax in the human sized woven ‘nests’ that decorate the outdoor decks. Two luxury spa treatment rooms, a fitness centre and a swimming pool all look out over the Delta. Each area feels as if it is blended seamlessly into the landscape.
