Four Rosmead

Built in 1903, Four Rosmead is a beautiful guest house that has been stylishly and sensitively re-modeled. The house is set in landscaped gardens in the quiet residential suburb of Oranjezicht. This great location is within walking distance of vibrant Kloof Street, well-known for its restaurant and café culture, yet far enough from the action for you to relax in peace and quiet.

The common guest areas are creativley decorated with original South African artworks (which can be bought). Outside there is a patio overlooking the pool deck with comfortable loungers alongside a salt water swimming pool. Four Rosmead also has a pamper spa offering a variety of massage treatments.

The staff is extremely friendly and will help with all aspects of your holiday such as booking tours or organising transfers. Although close to the city centre, we would recommend hiring a car should you wish to explore some of Cape Town's other attractions such as the V&A Waterfront. Plenty of safe, off-street parking is available.

Note: The age restriction at Four Rosmead is 12 years old, unless the whole house is booked.

Accommodation at Four Rosmead consists of 8 en suite bedrooms, each of which is individually decorated. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, and some have fireplaces and private gardens, balconies or courtyards. In-room entertainment includes satellite TV, DVD player, IPOD base station with speakers and wireless internet connectivitey.

The suite is a 75 sq. m cottage which is able to accommodate up to 4 adults. Additional features in this cottage include a private courtyard and garden, outside shower, home theatre surround sound system and under-carpet heating in the lounge.

Breakfasts at Four Rosmead are a definite highlight. You can start your day with a traditional cooked breakfast, or opt for the daily special. Vegetarian friendly menus are also available.
