Cape Town Hotels: De Waterkant Village

Superior lodge and self-catering cottages set in the historic De Waterkant area in Cape Town.

An Authentic Experience - a resort within a real, authentic 'local' living area.

Trendy Destination - top entertainment and services within walking distance.

Spoilt For Choice - choose between crash pads, luxury houses, apartments and a manor house.

De Waterkant Village - General Information

The philosophy and vision of a real travellers' village was first realised in De Waterkant. The initial cottages were called Harbour View Cottages, Cape Town's First Guest Street, and has now become a village which has grown to over 40 participating properties.

De Waterkant is effectively a resort within a real, authentic 'local' living area, aiming to offer you a distinctly Cape experience and true village hospitality. A centralised reception acts as a service centre which will allow you all the comforts of a hotel in your own home, and all properties are located within walking distance to top restaurants, shopping centres and other entertainment.

Leisure activities and facilities offered by De Waterkant Village include daily housekeeping, concierge desk, tourist information, swimming pool, laundry, dry-cleaning, valet, luggage storage, office facilities, babysitting and 24-hour security.

Children are welcome.

De Waterkant Village - Rooms

Accommodation at De Waterkant Village consists of a total of 43 rooms, which include 20 studios & 1-bedroom apartments, 18 2-bedroom apartments and 5 3-bedroom apartments.

Most units have air-conditioning (please request when booking), TV, alarm clock, hairdryer, separate bath/shower, tea/coffee making facilities, electronic safes, bedside lamps, luggage rack, telephone and ceiling fans.

Some units have roof decks, jacuzzis and pools (please request when booking), while the 3-star apartments have M-Net and the 4-star apartments satellite TV.

De Waterkant Village - Dining

De Waterkant Village has a Village Cafe and there is a bar at De Waterkant House.

De Waterkant Village offer both self-catering and bed & breakfast options. All properties are within walking distance to many restaurants and bars.

The Cape Quarter Shopping Centre is also nearby, and the famous V&A Waterfront is only a 5-minute drive away.
