Greenways - General Information

Greenways hotel and restaurant, hidden away in the leafy suburb of Claremont, is reminiscent of an English country manor. The house was built in 1920 and the 6-hectare hotel property comprises expansive lawns, woodlands and a formal hedged rose garden. The hotel is in a secluded location while still being relatively close to Cape Town’s city centre. Within walking distance you will find one of the city' prestigious shopping centres, Cavendish Square; Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is only minutes away and 8 championship golf courses are within a 15 km radius. Back at Greenways you cay enjoy a swim in the secluded pool, play a game of croquet or, in winter, warm yourself by the large fireplace in the cosy library. Tea in the guest lounge or on the sunny terrace is a great antidote for the stresses and strains of city life.

Greenways - Rooms

TThe 17 individually decorated double rooms consist of one 2-bedroomed suite, 10 luxury rooms, 5 executive suites and one garden room. All are decorated in a classic, traditional style and some of the of the luxury rooms have private balconies or terraces. The en-suite bathrooms are large, with most containing 'his and her' vanity units and a separate bath and shower. A black and white tiled floor complements the Victorian taps and fittings.

Greenways - Dining

Greenway’s wood-panelled restaurant offers a breakfast buffet, as well as a substantial cooked breakfast. The restaurant also serves light lunches with menu items such as quiche or homemade soup. Dinner is a far grander affair, and features a 4-course table d’hote menu that changes daily. The restaurant specialises in traditional Cape cuisine such as bobotie and chicken curry. Seafood, freshly caught from the Cape’s oceans, is also a popular choice. All meals can be enjoyed either in the restaurant or on the sunny terrace for a more relaxed atmosphere.
