Grande Roche - General Information

Grande Roche is a gracious restored 18th century manor estate centred on a working vineyard. The historic Manor House on the estate has undergone a complete refurbishment in order to make it more stylish whilst still retaining its classical elegance and sense of place that has been a hallmark since its opening. The estate consists of 35 guest quarters and a restaurant with an impressive array of culinary accolades to its name. With its superbly stocked cellar with close on 300 vintage wines, in addition to more than 6500 bottles, this is Cape wine country at its best. The facilities at Grande Roche are extensive. For sports fundis there are floodlit tennis courts, 2 swimming pools and a gymnasium, as well as nearby golf courses, hiking and horse riding trails. For those more interested in pampering than physical exertion, take your pick of a massage parlour, hair salon, sauna or steam bath.

Grande Roche - Rooms

The suites at Grande Roche are freestanding buildings, thus allowing for complete privacy. All suites are individually decorated and have under-floor heating, mini bar, mobile office facilities, separate bath and shower facility and 2 wash basins. Grande Roche offers the following options: Honeymoon Suite/Presidential Suite - has a spacious lounge, bedroom with king-size bed, bathroom with double shower, Jacuzzi and bidet, as well as a private roof terrace. 5 Executive Rooms - these consist of an integrated lounge and bedroom with a spacious bathroom containing a separate shower & bath. 6 Junior Suites - each contain a lounge, bedroom (with queen-size bed) and en-suite bathroom. 18 Terrace Suites - each contain a lounge, bedroom and bathroom as well as a front terrace overlooking picturesque Paarl vineyards. As part of the ongoing renewal, 6 of these suites have been totally redecorated, and are now newly painted and kitted out with crisp new bedding, towels and pure white dressing gowns. 5 Duplex Suites - the ground level contains a lounge and guest toilet, while the upper level contains the bedroom and bathroom.

Bosman's Restaurant - housed in the renovated Cape Dutch manor house built in 1707, this award-winning eatery at Grande Roche has an international team of chefs that offer gourmet contemporary French cuisine along with an extensive wine list. Huguenot Room - adjoining Bosman’s Restaurant, this venue is a private dining room, as well as a wine tasting area. Bistro Allegro - enjoy a casual dining experience in this funky and stylish setting.
